  1. Try just soaking around the rocks very well. They might just settle in to look natural. My husband brought home medium sized rocks for around a flower bed. All these years later they look so small. They have settled into the ground almost 1/2 way. Water would be a lot easier than digging and moving.

  2. I went through the master gardener program in Michigan….honestly I have learned more from you. There is a volunteer project component to the program that benefits the local community which is nice….but a lot of "book" reading. I like the doing and discovering better, too.

  3. Long term watcher and member of GA and GA Highlights, I love the way you two interact and get completely off subject, like when the Plant Pimp calls or you go back and forth on a subject. I have purchased the COMPOST you're talking about in BAGS, at garden centers, big box hardware stores and even my grocery garden center as COMPOSTED MULCH.

  4. Man I really want to order some paper pots but I CANNOT justify paying 80$ USD to ship to canada that I will then need to pay duties upon arrival 😢 so sad

  5. So funny! Just ordered the paper pots and seed trays. You guys rock. Question: Do the seed trays come with domes or do I order them separately? I didn’t see any on your site. Thank you!

  6. Our son B-Day is Dec 28th. Too many Christmas activities, B-Day parties were very hard. So, we did swim half B-Day parties. Kids all had so much fun and he got to celebrate his B-Day with just us on his day and with extended family and friends on his half b-day too.

  7. Would not recommend peacocks for you property. If you were to raise them from chicks you would have better luck, but peacocks are known wanderers. Considering your neighbors are close, you would be risking them visiting the neighbors properties often. This would be especially true if you chose to adopt an adult bird.

  8. That's so funny, about vining houseplants! I'd love to give that Pothos plant behind you a good trim. I'd love to work for you!😄

  9. As a master Gardener I took the classes I'm best at seeing learning and kinda a chicken $hit to try… so the course is great. Honestly laura you would more than likely be able to teach it . I have "learnt" as much from you as from the class.!

  10. Your mom as the plant pimp id laugh out loud hilarious! My gold echinacea ornament is beautiful! I want more. Funny because I’m a silver preference person!

  11. I know this isn’t related to this weeks topics. I received my ornaments that I put on a “my favorite things” branches that I keep up all year. Love them. I have an orange tabby kitty too. I hope you design a cat ornament for next year!

  12. DYING laughing about you Mother's 'plant pimp' comment then showing her wearing that robe she tried on at the antique store. SO funny!
I agree with Aaron about the xeriscape landscaping. Having lived in the desert for 14 yrs and never really appreciating the desert landscape, I learned to reallly not appreciate nor like it…personally. But, Aaron, remember, 65% of AZ is mountains (I live at a 7200 ft elevation in the northern mountains, heavily treed, green, grassy, etc) and the rest is desert.

Laura, one of MANY of your endearing qualities is your inspiration to do what you like and that which brings you joy, not doing things that don't provide these qualities, staying busy for healthy mental status and having a diplomatic voice.

  13. Peacocks are beautiful. But… they poo everywhere, they will roost and poo on your nice trucks, gators, Bobcats, etc. Also, with neighbors relatively close they might appreciate the peacock noise. The peacocks could potentially "visit" the neighborhood. Personally, I would stick with the more manageable chickens.

  14. Love that you’re getting back to the beautiful garden tours. Question: have you ever thought of having a beautiful vignette of house plants video series where viewers send in pictures of their houseplants? I think it would be fun to see that series during the winter time. 😊

  15. I'm cracking up over the directional hand motion disagreements between you and your husband!! My husband and I have the same issue! I said to him during this video, "It's a man thing"! He said he thought it was a woman thing. Nope!!

  16. Hi Laura and Aaron, my town has a wild flock of Peacocks…no one knows where they came from. So fun in suburban So. Cal. Keep in mind that peacocks will scratch and peck on your cars because they see their reflection and think it's another peacock.😂

  17. Will you ever look into landscape lighting in your beautiful gardens? You say you stroll your gardens in the evening, the lighting will only extend the beauty further into the evening

  18. Delightful as usual I usually learn more from your recaps than from your daily ones, but I wouldn’t miss them for the world anyway just enjoy them so much. Enjoy all of you get such inspiration from your gardens and how you break up your gardening and they’re just a little section so it is not overwhelming. That was probably one of the best things that I’ve gotten from this last week of your programs. Really good idea.!

  19. How did you find out about an aura ring that tracks your steps and sleeping? I'm very interested in one. Thank you

  20. Peacocks are beautiful, but I agree they are so loud!! Think of a rooster with a mini megaphone. I could not stand their early morning cacophony.

  21. For community garden tours check in with your local Master Gardeners Group. They can usually be found through you state extension office.

  22. I thought i adopted your mom before as I would love to have a competent delightful mom that works at a garden centre, now I think the editor has let us all adopt mom and plant pimp. She is so classy and funny, it is delightful. She is the mom i needed as a kid and she is mine now. Hi MOM.
