Come walk with me through my backyard garden oasis! I am so proud of my backyard garden this year- everything is looking it’s best! I have a cottage-feel garden, as well as shade and part shade gardens all throughout my backyard. See what it looks like before the Texas HEAT and 100 temperatures kick in!

  1. You might regret leaving the wild violet in your garden. Especially when it spreads into the roots of your other plants. You will have to did up everything to get it out.

  3. Last year was the first time I planted impatiens in the ground. This year I have several that came back. I’m in zone 7. And we had a pretty bad winter last year. I was surprised.

  4. Oh my dear garden buddy thank you so much for sharing your beautiful garden with us today. It was so beautiful and I just loved every minute of this post.

  5. I live in northwest Louisiana and I have been telling my husband that I have only seen like two butterflies this year and I have there times more flowers than last year.

  6. I am further South, down in North Austin (zone 9a)….fun to see what grows for you is also growing about the same for me. I have an oakleaf hydrangea that is close to 25 years old and you are right that they are such great performers in the garden. I have my MIL macrophylla hydrangea in a pot that I dug up in 2019 after she passed away and it is about 65 years old. I garden a lot in pots as well due to root competition from the old oak grove that is all around my house. Thanks for sharing your yard with us….looking forward to more videos.

  7. So beautiful! I love your backdrop that will stay forever! You are blessed.
What direction does your backyard face & how often do you water your coneflowers in the ground once they are established? I’m in Arlington, TX & mine face east. They get at least 6 hours of sun. Im
always concerned about watering too much or too little. I planted 6 new ones two weeks ago that I’m watering more often.

  9. i have not seen many butterflies either this year. i think mosquito spraying over the years has really affected them. i live in the mid cities area a bit south of you. Your garden and kitty are very cute.
