GARDEN CITY, Ga. (WTOC) – One person was arrested and two others were hospitalized after a fight led to gunfire inside an apartment Tuesday morning, Garden City police said.
Officers responded to 4309 Augusta Road around 11:40 a.m. after receiving reports of gunshots. When they arrived, police say they found several people involved in the incident at different locations in the area.
Officials say the investigation showed that a physical fight occurred and someone fired a gun inside an apartment. Two people were taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries from the fight.
Police arrested one person on charges of aggravated assault and other related charges. The department has not released the names of those involved or the extent of injuries to the hospitalized individuals.
The investigation continues, and the Garden City Police Department said no additional information will be released at this time.
