So far the tallest moss pole I have is about 5 1/2’ but even with a plastic bamboo stake support it still leans. If anyone has a tall moss pole that still stays upright how do you keep it from leaning? I hate to chop my tall guys but I don’t know what else to do

Got several that are 2 meters +. Plants are near the cieling, due a chop soon.
Base of pole is fixed to back of pot.
Pole is supported through the middle with a metal cored rod.
Finally, the pole is attached to a wall with a screw. If it wasn’t, the 30kg of plant would pull it over 😂
i use 3′ sections of clear, hard (3mm thick, mebbe?)acrylic tubing, that i drilled out down one side, w/a coupler to join two sections when ‘treadmilling’, so 6 feet total. strong as you know what, no stake needed, assuming the pot’s ballasted enough ;-p (brand is ‘powertec’. have to use their couplers adapters, as they’re not pvc standards. original use is to build vacuuming systems for woodshops.)
mine are hung directly on the walls though-no pots. here’s an idea showing some during treadmilling:
the golden pothos and gigas on the left are both on one 6′ long pole, essentially, and both are just past the coupler joining the 2 sections. the gigas on the right is hanging on the wall, with its 3′ tube bottom about 2.5′ above the floor. ‘free hanging’, no pot.
5000 holes, i drilled, for all this nonsense ;-p. and the tubes are still pretty frikkin’ strong. recycling the moss is a bit of a pain, but the attrition is quite low 🙂

My moss poles are 90cm so the tallest are 180cm before chop and prop.
