DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) — Landmark Park will hold its annual Seed Swap event Saturday, where farmers and gardeners can meet, swap seeds or plants and share knowledge.
This annual event was held for the first time in 2012 as a way for farmers to share heirloom seeds. Today the event also has organizations educate attendees about gardening topics like composting pollinators.
Megan Jones, a horticulture extension agent with Alabama and Auburn extension system, says the event has been attended by gardeners of all ages for over 15 years.
“Gardeners of all ages come to this event every year. So anybody with an interest in gardening or agriculture is definitely welcome to come,” said Jones.
This event is an opportunity to find unique varieties of seeds and plants and to learn skills for gardening.
The event is supported by the Wiregrass Master Gardeners Association.
The Seed Swap will take place on Saturday, January 24, 2026. The event will be held at the Stokes Barn at Landmark Park (430 Landmark Dr, Dothan, AL) from 10:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
