A Vermont man who is facing charges following an altercation during a Bruins game has been ordered to stay away from TD Garden and the man he allegedly pushed down the stairs at the Boston venue earlier this month.

After several postponements, 48-year-old Aaron Tucker was arraigned Thursday on charges of assault and battery, and assault and battery on a person over 60, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office announced. A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf.

Judge James Coffey released Tucker on personal recognizance, ordering him to stay away from TD Garden and the victim until at least his next court appearance in March.

Video shows a Boston Bruins fan and a New York Rangers fan going head-to-head at TD Garden.

The charges against Tucker stem from an incident that occurred during a Bruins game on Jan. 10 in which Tucker and another patron got into a fight in the stands. Multiple witnesses told police that Tucker and the victim, who appeared intoxicated, were arguing, and the victim was allegedly harassing Tucker and his girlfriend.

Tucker then allegedly pushed the victim down several stairs, leaving the man semi-conscious, according to officials. The victim was taken to Mass General Hospital for a cut on the back of his head, and may have suffered a concussion, prosecutors said in court Thursday.

TD Garden security footage captured Tucker leaving the Garden around 3 p.m., and he was later located and taken into custody.

Tucker is due back in court on March 12 for a pre-trial hearing.
