I built these outdoor pressure treated 4×6 steps a few years ago. My first time doing something like this. The center of the steps are filled with a mix of 3/4 drain and road base the topped with about 3in of Cali gold DG with a binder. The timbers are fastened with a combination of 10in Timberlok screws and 3/4in rebar.

Sir that’s not how you should use peanut butter.
Looks pretty nice. Unusual, but nicely done I want to install DG too and wonder how it will last with foot traffic’s and rain. His has yours done? Is the added binder making an obvious difference?
