Children are invited to take part in a gardening workshop this February.
Hosted by Dobbies in its Swindon store, the Little Seedlings Club will focus on the topic of composting.
The workshop will educate children through hands-on activities.
Attendees will learn about the significance of compost, the differences between green and brown waste, and what materials are suitable for composting.
The session will also demystify compost creatures and their role in the ecosystem, alongside the contribution of composting towards healthy plants, enhanced wildlife, and the planet at large.

Providing practical tips, the workshop will guide children in starting a compost heap at home, composting in small spaces, and various ways to use compost for both indoor and outdoor planting.
Children will participate in a sorting challenge and create their own compost bottles to take home.
Dobbies’ Little Seedlings Club is designed to be fun, creative and engaging, with interactive activities and games for kids to get inspired about gardens and nature, with the chance to ask lots of questions.
The Dobbies Little Seedlings Club workshop will take place on February 1.
Participation in the event is free, but prior registration is necessary.
