Got this guy in the mail a while back (his roots broke off en route). I repotted him and didn’t see these spots at the time. I noticed he was soft and saw these greenish/silver speckled spots on his body. Is this insects? Fungal?
Either way, I figure he’s a goner

The spots are just scarring, not a disease. But the tap root can’t regrow, so it will die, yes.
