  1. 🌱What are you planting first this January?► 20% OFF CaliKim Seed Collections with code FOODFLOW (ends 1/18/26) NEWLY Updated Seed collections just dropped! Thanks so much for supporting our seed shop! 💚 -CaliKim & CameraGuy

  2. I still have seeds I bought from last year… What can I plant as a seed? I am also in S California.

  3. That was good kim I planted my radishes and beets seeds yesterday with a little bit of worm castings and I'm going to but nabe cabbage seeds next week

  4. This is EXACTLY what I’ve learned from you!!! Keep planting! And I don’t feel overwhelmed to start a ton of seedlings for Spring! I just know to start my peppers and tomatoes and melons! I will direct sow other vegetables, I find your system less stressful and more productive! Thank you so much Kim! I appreciate your knowledge.

Also my husband and I were talking and we realized your channel was the first YouTube channel I subscribed to in 2017, and I didn’t subscribe to any others until 2020, so thank you. For teaching me to garden like you. 💚

  5. Steady food flow. Wish my climate and the size of my house (tiny) worked to always have food that I grow myself. Once I get some repairs done, I might be able to make a couple of small things grow on wire shelving with shop lights. Meanwhile, I'm so happy to watch yours. 😃 Love the onion timing info. Love to see you harvest stuff. How satisfying. I haven't tried root veg yet. Can't wait to try them though. Thank you!

  6. I took a long lunch break today to plant radishes, beets, cilantro, dill, oregano, collards, spinach, and lettuce. I'm tired but happily looking forward to great food from my backyard.

  7. Question Kim you mentioned In your video that you could plant greens In Januray and when It started to warmed up all you would get Is the leaves could you still eat the leaves If you did not get the beets underneath the soil or would the leaves be to bitter

  8. Good to see smaller tomato and pepper 🫑 plants. As a renter and container gardener I’m excited 🤩 for this! Thanks Kim and camera guy.

  9. Im using her lettuce collection! I love it, so beautiful, healthy seeds. I have so much to harvest, i share with my congregation ❤🎉

  10. I've ordered a lot more varieties of eggplant this year. Squashes, beans and peas. A lot more types of tomatoes, we're trying to find determinate ones to start from seed this time instead of the already mature plants I ended up with from Lowe's last year. I usually don't grow flowers because of the drought, but this year I'm going to start my own beautification efforts for my haphazard farm like yard, it's nothing like your pretty setup. Sunflower seeds for different sizes and colors are on order, so we don't just have the wild sunflower plants this year.
My first time growing carrots in 12 years,. I'm going to try them in Greenstalk planters. I invested in several towers because we have a lot of voles and squirrels and the other rodent life out here because everyone has fruit trees, livestock or dog food out all year long. I laughed when you talked about temperatures, it's 65 out here today and we're expecting 80 on Wednesday in the Inland Empire. Love your channel Kim!

  11. I'm so excited that my radishes are growing. I'll start another round tomorrow. Today I planted 2 more bed of beets. I even marked the 55 days to maturity. I need to put my lettuce in a bed so it can grow bigger. I've started more as well. Thanks always Kim for all of your help!!
