Dallas County Iowa State University Extension and Outreach will kick off the new year with a variety of gardening programs.
The extension says the first event will be Intro to Vegetable Gardening on January 13. The program will be held from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Town Craft Gallery, 1122 Willis Avenue, in Perry.
The extension invites those thinking about starting a vegetable garden, or anyone wanting a refresher, to join the class.
While the free program is open to the public, area residents will need to register.
