Armitage

Dr. Allan Armitage, University of Georgia professor emeritus, will share two presentations on Saturday, February 28. Hosted by the Hall County Master Gardeners, the symposium is open to the public. Tickets cost $20 each and include a boxed breakfast and program.

Armitage will give two presentations: “From Chaos to Contentment” and “Common Sense Gardening,” (also the title of his latest book, due out in February). Copies of his newest book will be on sale at the event. He will also bring an assortment of his other books.

“Dr. Armitage is certainly one of the most in-demand garden and horticultural experts in the Southeast,” said Jayne Berry, Hall County Master Gardener in charge of programs for 2026. “He delivers in-depth knowledge framed in an upbeat and humorous way. Every time he speaks at one of our events, it always sells out.”

The morning event takes place at First Presbyterian Church, 800 South Enota, Gainesville. Details and tickets are available at hallmastergardeners.com. For questions, call the Hall County Extension Office at 770 535-8293.
