A train enthusiast has spent five years building a fully working miniature railway in his back garden. James Ardin, 36, from Holmpton, East Yorkshire, built the 660-yard track around his three-acre plot with help from friends. The dad-of-two drives steam and electric engines he made himself and hosts open days for fellow train lovers. A lifelong railway fan, James said: “It’s always been my dream to have a working track – and I’m very proud of it.”
