Brighter Winter Nights at the Alaska Botanical Garden

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – The Alaska Botanical Garden is lighting up the dark night sky with a brilliant combination of displays.

The Botanical Garden features botanical-themed light displays, ice luminarias, cozy firepits, a kick sled trail and model train.

Running from 4:30–8:30 p.m., the Garden is open through Feb. 22, according to the Alaska Botanical Garden website.

In addition to light displays, the Garden features the annual Ice Sculpture Competition.

Sculptors started crafting their pieces Monday, with voting to take place over the weekend.

This week’s Night of Lights features creativity, craftsmanship and community.
