Harvest your tomato Sooner as they are orange, red or red. do not leave them on too long or else it will attract the birds and the birds will end up eating your tomatoes and you wouldn’t have a harvest.
You could Harvest your orange red. leave them on your countertop. they will ripen up and it wouldn’t lose their taste

Put bowls of water out for the birds Hun I noticed when they get thirsty and it's hot they'll go for the tomatoes sometimes cucumbers it's berries where they just like nomming
Yes and raccoons too.
That is sad but birds are great for garden pests. We have a Gold fish pond Hubby and our sons dug over 15 years ago. Important to have water source. Bubblers are available so the water is not just standing in dishes. Neighbor complained to hubby a few days ago about the birds. I'm not taking chances and picking them early. I used to get bird seed but learned the shinny seeds are covered with glyphosate so I stopped feeding them. Beside I'd rather they eat the pest.
I had a turtle that would hide under my black plastic and straw. He kept biting holes in my good tomatoes. Finally I caught on and would bring my not so perfect ones to him. He was living the American dream! π’π
My tomatoes keep splitting and I don't know why. I thought it was a watering issue but it happens on the plants I water often, and the test plants that I don't water often (For testing purposes)
Any ideas?
If you only have a couple plants, bird netting works well. Bought a roll and barely needed to use much, the same 6βx6β piece has been putting in work for 4 years now. Also helps keep other critters away.
Oh boy.. i pick em as soon as they blush. Birds can eat my sunflowers
Rats like them too
Worms are pests too.
