I received this Ficus Retusa(I think?) bonsai for Christmas. Although I have a good deal of experience with houseplants, I don't know much about bonsai. I really like this plant, especially for the aerial roots it has developed. However, I think the top part is a bit bushy and should be pruned. Do you agree? What do you think I should do?
I've read the wiki a bit, and it seems that a bonsai like this needs to be watered every 5-7 days. Is that correct? Do you think it's sufficient to immerse it in a bowl of water until the soil is completely wet?
In any case, I think it's acclimated to the house since it's already grown lots of new leaves.
