I’ve had this since it was a baby cutting for probably around 10 years. Obviously it’s still alive and still producing babies but the rest of it just looks so ugly. Do you have any suggestions for me other than composting it?
I was given a pilea in similar condition. I took the stems, took all the dead leaves off, cut them into 2 inch pieces and partially planted them horizontally in a sphagnum moss and soil mixture, so that the top of the stems were still getting light. I kept the medium moist, not wet, and I’ve grown about 10-15 plants per every 8 inch stem. When they’re a certain size, you just cut the planted 2 inch stem in half and plant it in its own pot. It worked out quite nice for me.
