Reserve Police personnel deployed at Margao Municipal Garden reportedly punished a group of migrant men after they were found urinating in the open in front of women visitors. As disciplinary action, the police made the offenders sit on their knees inside the garden.
Residents said incidents of people consuming alcohol, urinating in public, and even holding drinking parties inside the garden have become increasingly frequent, causing inconvenience and embarrassment to families and especially women visiting the area.
Locals have urged authorities to step up patrolling and enforce stricter action to maintain cleanliness and ensure the garden remains a safe and family-friendly public space.
