So I was going to move my vivarium to the room when I noticed crack in the bottom pane of the glass that it did not have last time πŸ˜πŸ’€

I’ve siliconed it, but is this a lost cause? Have I wasted my time and money or will this crack not compromise the integrity of the vivarium?

Is it the back! Is that foam in front of it? If you don’t intend to do a ton of water, it should hold okay–you can put it to the back.

I would get a support for it–I build all my vivs on wooden or PVC supports and never move them by touching them–only by the support.

Agreed with the other comment! You can also reinforce with the mesh style tape and tape over it too if it’s the back and won’t be seen

Should be fine as long as your critter can’t get to it. You could try to silicone another piece of glass on top of it if it seems unstable but it’s probably not necessary.

I am going to get a bottom wooden panel to go under the tank to help distribute the weight of the substrate when wet. Do you guys think that would help prevent any potential collapses so the tank can last me at least one more year until next year’s black friday deals?
