I have a box store philodendron rescue, pretty positive it’s a prince of orange/birkin hybrid-

This plant has potential, it puts out a lot of pretty mutations that I really enjoy- biggest issue is I have to play surgery with every new leaf that the 3 clusters produce. EVERY SINGLE LEAF

I’ve looked up care guides, I’ve put a humidifier directly on it, wrapped them in warm paper towels cue tips etc it doesn’t matter it wont release on its own I have to preform plant surgery constantly.

What am I doing wrong? Is there anything else I can do for it?

I’m also showing signs of necrosis on the leaves and just got a new one.. is that a sign of low humidity?

Following. Have the same issue with my Spiritus Sancti.

Stop misting it, stop using paper towels. Water, humidity and light is all they need. I would guess not enough water, that’s usually my issues with philos and stuck leaves. Sometimes they just take awhile to unfurl.
