hello! my cape sundew isn’t looking too hot and I’d like some pointers on how to bring her back to life since i’m not experienced with carnivorous plants. My best guess is I gave her too much light, so i’ve moved her to a spot further away from a grow light. Another option could be over/under watering? I’ve been keeping her sitting in a little dish of distilled water and when it gets low refilling it. Also as a side question, am i supposed to “feed” these guys in the winter/ if there aren’t really any bugs like fungus gnats from other plants flying around? I can’t seem to find info on that for sundews. thanks!!

there is no “too much light” for a SUNdew. what location is it in? inside or outside?
my guess is that it may have been dry for a longer period of time (4-7 days).
most important food for these plants is light. they don’t produce any dew to digest bugs with out good lighting anyways.
just keep it under the strong light. you can trim all the dead brown leaves
Looks like it MIGHT have dried out too much or it got tap water at one point.
ALWAYS keep it sitting in a water tray with water in it. Keep the light about 8-10 inches above it. If possible introduce it slowly to Sunlight.
