Sarracenia purpurea? Sarracenia purpurea subsp. venosa?

I have it quarantining right now before it joins the main pack. It's my first pitcher plant 🕺

That is a purpurea. Hard to tell if it’s purpurea purpurea or venosa they look very similar except venosa has a velvet feel to it’s traps and purpurea has a waxy feeling.

just letting you know that this light is far away from ideal.

needs 20x the intensity of light.

you may have better lights at the other setup but I’m letting you know regardless.

Venosa lines up with your description. There’s a slight chance its that its a rosea/venosa var burkii if it has a particularly thick lip and makes pink flowers in the spring. There’s also some nursery mass produced inter-variety purpurea hybrids that are a bit strange like a rosea x venosa.
