I started my first small native garden this past summer in zone 7. Does anyone have suggestion on what flowers are good to plant that can be dried/preserved toward the end of their life? I’m already getting excited/planning for this year.

Native hydrangeas dry nicely.
No they just seem to dry on the bush
Try Agastache. Also I know someone who is using mountain mint in flower bouquets.
Not a flower, but River oats dry themselves and look awesome in a display
Pearly Everlasting (Anaphalis margaritacea) is native to the majority of North America and is well known for the dried flowers being “everlasting.”
Not sure of your region but yarrow, eryngium, liatris, rudbeckia, solidago all dry well. Look into native grasses as well!
idk, Great choice! You might also consider strawflower (Helichrysum) – they dry beautifully and add nice color to arrangements. Happy gardening!!
Nobody says ironweed except me. Ironweed, after the seeds fall – So darling!
