found this in my bouquet, assume it’s a dead something but i have never seen anything like it before

    It’s a species of Scabious, *Lomelosia stellata*, syn. *Scabiosa stellata*

    This is a variety of starflower, scabiosa. I don’t know which exactly, but scabiosa stellata is the one I see most frequently. These are the seed heads 🙂

    I love this form of scabiosa but it isn’t nearly as easy to grow as the more flowery varieties
