Hi Fionuanla! It was so nice to see you yesterday at Cottage gardens. You were quite busy! Every thing looked so beautiful and healthy. I just bought a few herbs but wanted to buy so much more. Being that I have a small garden have to limit myself….but looking forward to fall planting. Saw a few plants that I like to add to the garden. The garden is always changing which I love. These July tips were so informative as always. Thank you! π Ellen
I absolutely hate gophers. In my neighborhood, they are in every yard. I have someone who traps (aka kills with no poisons) them after I lost hundreds of plants in my perennial beds. My neighbor hired the same company because gophers were making the area the children played in unsafe. I know I can't irradicate them, but it's worth the price to keep their numbers down. And before folks say plant things in gopher cages, etc…. it doesn't work. Plants didn't thrive, and cost for hundreds of cages is prohibitive.
The smell of Mexican marigolds makes me go back on time when I was little back in MΓ©xico when we used to go for a picnic in the countryside and they where a wild flower there. We used to make flower crowns with themβ¦ I once bought a plant in Home Depot but die on meπ’ I really love the smell and the flowers!
Thank you for another great video! I just pruned my Spanish lavender by 1/3! I hope I didn't kill it π
