Thinking I should at least repot as this is original pot and soil (I have topped off soil over years) from 2019.
Should I cut all long stemless limbs off to propagate new growth with original big stem? Pretty sure leaves don’t grow back from old nodes on the branches right?

I only have it elevated to prevent my dog from getting into the soil… can probably lower it to ground if I think of a solution
I have no advice as mine is currently struggling too. Looking at the back of your picture (leaves have fallen on the trees outside), it looks like you are in a cold state during winter. I am also and will be re-potting and chopping mine later this week. I had hoped to wait till spring but my tree is doing to poorly to wait. When you do yours, please post updates (I will also) so we can commiserate together 😅
How are you caring for this? It’s in a good spot for light, so I’m sure this is a watering issue. How much does it get and how often?
Have you considered cutting the stems into multiple plants and rooting them? Basically starting over, and in this case you’ll have three or four new plants.
You could search this sub to learn more and to find specific details on how to do it. It took me a year to be comfortable cutting mine, but I did and now I have five thriving plants versus two struggling plants.
IMO Yes it could use a major Chop,/ Notch,/ Propagation. Id use the rest to cut in 1ft segments and propagate those.
What soil do you have it in? How long has it been in that same soil? Do you fertilize?
Chop down to about one to 2 feet in spring where it’s just a trunk. Sit outside in full sun and fertilize it every week in the spring and summer and you’ll be surprised how fast she bounces back.
You need to chop this back quite a bit and into multiple sections. Propagate the cuttings and as far as repotting, i know they like a tight root ball (or so ive heard) but idk. This definitely needs a LOT more light, otherwise you will end up with the same etiolated branches and have to start over again.
My FLF grew straight up like a pole for years. I tried pinching the top and notching it to get it to branch, but nothing ever worked. Then I just got fed up with it, and cut the thing in half. It was a long stick with no leaves for maybe a little over a month. Now it’s got 2 little branches coming out with lots of leaves on them.
Do not be afraid to repot and chop the thing. Prop the cuttings just in case. If it’s determined to live, it will find a way.
