I have a bunch of different Hoya in leca (with wicks) in these kind of pots, which are placed in another pot for a semi-hydro set up.

Great question! I’ve also been curious about planting Hoya in orchid pots! 😊

I use these pots for hoya with a wick, and in a cache pot (in a chunky mix). Otherwise it would dry out too fast imo.

I use terra cotta orchid pots. They dry out super fast, which is great if you tend to overwater!

The extra airflow you’ll get from that pot is great, but a self-watering system with wicks is a must or you’ll be watering every 3 days. Also if you have a single cutting that pot is too big – the 3” version would be more appropriate.

This is great for root health, u want airflow, it will make it dry out quicker but hoyas like that, I personally use these with self watering pots with a wick
