garden hacks that actually work .
This is how to get male or female flowers on your zucchini or squash plants faster..
It’s normal for your zucchini and squash plants to produce male flowers at the starting..
The plants will use less energy to grow male flower first and also attract the bees..

To bring in female flowers, you must prune off two of the lower leaves. if you have 10 male flowers you must remove at least half of them. this will speed up the growing process. also increase fertilizer and calcium and continue adding fertilizer every 2 weeks to keep the plant healthy.

To bring in male flowers you will have to remove two to three lower leaves and remove some of your female flowers which is the fruit. unfortunately we have no choice. we must do this to speed up the process…

Growing zucchini or squash vertically is one of the best ways to save space. better air production less chance of disease pass and the best way to fight off the squash Vine bores…

  1. Omg! What perfect timing for this video! I literally have 12! Twelve male flowers on 1 plant and not 1 female!! I see pruning in my future😅

  2. Don't know if it's 'your process'..
I do know that it works.
I learned this from another youtube gardener several years ago.

  3. My flowers on my squash plant keep dying. I managed to get one squash, but the other flowers managed to die out. I’m still producing flowers though. Why can’t I get the fruit but only one

  4. I gotta figure out how to get my dang leaves to grow more upright bc right now…. They are Far too big, and now producing much at all.

  5. Fantastic. It was so frustrating to see all male flowers and no female ones. I was told that in the beginning they just produce males, but believe it or not the whole Summer went by and only male flowers. Gonna try this method next time. Thank you.

  6. Do you have a video that shows how you do your vertical growing? If not, how far from base are you trimming and what length of poles? 😊😊 THANK YOU!
