Since a few days after I brought this lemon balm home, it’s had this disease where the leaves turn a brown woody color. It spread fast. At first I wasn’t sure if it was sunburn or not, it could be fungal or spider mites, but I just can’t tell! There don’t appear to be any signs of spider mites on the bottoms or stems. I’d really like to know what went wrong so I can prevent it next time. Sadly I think this lemon balm is headed for retirement.
Conditions: watered 2-3 times a week in hot weather, once a week at most since October. Plastic pot has great drainage, good drainage soil. Gets about 2-3 hours of full sun, 3 hours of bright indirect outdoor light. In summer, increase that to 6 hours of full sun.
