In November my once healthy and thriving Fiddle got infected with mealy bugs (I do not know how!!) and despite using neem oil, I had to chop to make sure my plant survived. After many weeks of worrying I had killed my plant, I am happy to share that I have a bunch of new leaves and growth 🙂 yay!!!

The big chop was Nov 2nd and the pics of new growth are from yesterday, Dec 28! You can see on the older leaves the damage from the mealy bugs but I am working to restore my fiddle to its former heath little by little <3

Congrats, it looks really happy and healthy! I bet in a few months it’s going to look better than it ever has!

It also looks like you found it a home with better light compared to the first photo. It’s going to thank you for that as well!

As for the mealy bugs… they could have come from anywhere. Pretty much all plant parents eventually have to deal with pests. The more plants you have, the more likely. Eventually you just learn to deal with them.
