Mark your calendars for February 19, 2026, when the Garden Club of Madison presents Rooted in Mississippi, a day of inspiration, flavor, and fellowship from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Bridlewood of Madison.
“Whether you come for the learning, the laughter, or simply the fellowship, this celebration of southern style will leave you inspired and proud to have roots in the Magnolia State,” Garden Club officials said.
This year’s program promises to be an unforgettable gathering for anyone who loves gardens, good food, and Southern charm. Attendees will enjoy a delicious lunch and hear from an impressive lineup of guest speakers who embody Mississippi’s creativity and hospitality.
Renowned landscape designer and television personality Phillip Watson will share his expertise in creating gardens that blend beauty with a sense of place. Known for his approachable style and deep appreciation of Southern landscapes, Phillip brings both wisdom and wit to the stage.
Joining him is Robert St. John, celebrated restaurateur, author, and wanderlust traveler, whose stories and culinary adventures have made him a Mississippi treasure. His talk will blend humor, heart, and a taste of the South’s rich culture.
Rounding out the program is Gina Diamond, owner of Gina Diamond’s Flower Co., whose flair for design and fresh floral inspiration brings color and joy to every occasion. Gina recently released her new book, The Blooming Table, her collection of recipes, florals and tablescapes.

Catch a glimpse of club volunteers at work at the Children’s Memorial Garden and the Flutter Way Pollinator Garden both at Strawberry Patch Park, Madison Station Elementary School Garden and in the classrooms, the Madison Library, Webster Animal Shelter, and the Red Caboose beautification.
