BOOTHBAY, Maine (WGME) — Mainers can experience “Nature in Motion” at Gardens Aglow. The Coastal Maine Botanicals Gardens in Boothbay have been lit up this holiday season.

Attendees can enjoy a glowing journey through scenes of Maine’s forests, shorelines, and meadows.

And of course, see the botanical gardens’ beloved trolls.

Katie Hey, the gardens’ marketing and communications director, says the lights bring people together during the holidays.

“And then I think for Mainers too, it’s the darkest time of the year. I think for a lot of people there’s a real natural urge to just shut down, go under the covers, and eat good food, watch movies and not go outside until the spring. And we are providing opportunities for people to be together and to connect and also just to see some beautiful lights,” Hey said.

There’s still some time to see the garden lights. Gardens Aglow will be open until January 3.
