Get her a nice grow light. One or two of the vertical ones. They need lots of light!

Keep the leaves clean. Look for pests. Spider mites like them. Milky sap from leaves or cut stems will stain surfaces. Talk to it frequently and tell it how good looking it is.

Such a beauty, get her some light for sure and let it settle in. Probably good to prune those long branches in the spring and let it fill out even more.

Goodness, Iâve never seen one this large!

Whatâs your climate like?
My rubber tree is a fickle gal. She thrives in the humid summers but struggles in the dry cold winter. If I donât run my humidifier for a day, she starts to drop leaves. I donât keep her near the window and she is now on a timer light because of it.

I have four.  One is this sized but has three branches of leaves.  He likes sun.  A LOT of sun.  He loves many hours per day of FULL SUN.  Nothing is happier than my rubber plant in the afternoon summer sun 100+ degrees, 90% humidity, he easily puts out multiple gigantic leaves every 6 days or so and is extremely happy.Â
For a while he could still fit on the ledge in our big picture window in our family
room so last year he was somewhat okay in the winter in that window, but now heâs over 6 feet tall and canât fit anymore. Â Heâs been really mad since I brought him inside in the fall and started dropping bottom leaves like crazy. Â I panicked and got him his own grow light. Â He doesnât âlike itâ but he did stop dropping leaves.Â
Theyâre great plants though. Â Mine prefers fertilizer when watering when heâs inside (and to dry out between waterings) and I wipe his leaves twice per month. Â In the summer I donât do anything for him, he doesnât need anything at all. Â

The top branches are already too long. Most fear pruning of plants like these but itâs absolutely essential. Take those long branches down by 2/3rds so they can branch and have good strong scaffolding. Then the next time take them 10â from the last cut, then you can keep the shape at a size you like but youâll have 15 branches instead of 3. In a few years itâll be a $1000 dollar plant.

lol I didnât realize this plant was named rubber plant.
I read it as in you got a fake plant, and wanted to know how to care for it đ

Very nice! People prune their branches to make them grow a certain shape. There are YouTube videos about how to do this. I had to look them up to trim my rubber tree.

It’s a tree, and variegated, it needs a lot of light.

Could you tell the info on your flooring, please? Itâs lovely.
I used to regularly spritz my rubber tree that was in front of a bank of windows on a plant bench and it grew to 6â in our townhouse.

Canât tell if pot is plastic or real terracotta. If the latter, you need to put it in plastic or on top of cork or something to protect your floors from moisture!
