So I planted this "multi" Natchez crepe myrtle from fastgrowingtrees that only had 2 main trunks in the pot and was about 2 feet off the ground once planted earlier this spring. They grew up to 6 feet, but it seems that only the back half of the two trunks grew to the 6 foot mark while the ones in the front only grew about half of that. So should I just start from scratch and cut them all back to the ground and start over to have more main trunks that I can better shape into a vase?

You can look up “reduction cuts”. Removing too much material will only slow it down. Recommend is 1/3 for mature trees and I’d recommend less for newer trees. You don’t need to rush things.
