I have been using the Broomstick method for culling chickens, and it has worked well for me, but it is becoming a bit of a struggle since I am starting to get some really large boys. I am looking for a branch lopper type tool that could take the head off in one snip and haven't found anything that is fool-proof. I am not comfortable with an axe, and would prefer to find something that would cause immediate death, bonus points if I can do it while the bird is in a cone.
Has anyone found the Holy Grail of dispatch methods for a petite lady to use?
Thanks in advance.

As long as you do it correctly, a decent pellet gun is instant
Ive seen the broomstick method but with a piece of rebar for larger birds.
A kill cone and a sharp knife is very quick and ethical.
Has anyone tried a paper cutter modified with the guard removed?
I used a razor sharp tipped paring knife to push through the bottom of the jaw into the brain. Quick jab and twist. No drama and the bird dies instantly. According to the old guy that showed me many years ago, it relaxes the feathers for an easier pluck.
I use [this cervical dislocation tool](https://www.livingthehightlife.com/shop/p/dsf5bzokw8ld9vcl70qap1aa1prgkw-h8zsh). I bought it for dispatching my rabbits and quickly realized how much better it was for chickens as well. I actually struggle to NOT rip their heads completely off after breaking the neck, it makes it so easy.
A very sharp and heavy knife is pretty much guaranteed to work well, just keep a knife sharpener available and keep it plenty sharp
After getting and using an air rifle I am never going back. I can dispatch birds who were calmly chilling in my lap (obviously with head hanging away from my body and the angle of the pellet done so I couldn’t accidentally shoot myself.)
So much more peaceful.
Have you tried using a samurai sword? With practice and a decent sword, you can kill these chicken with silence and ease. Start on the bamboo rolls they use for training, and once you’re good and accurate, start lopping heads off like O-Ren Ishii. It’s expensive at first, you’ll want to spend at least 600 bucks. Cheap swords ain’t good, and good swords ain’t cheap. Let me know how it goes!
