Been propping these dolphins 🐬 in water but a month or 2.
I made a mix of succulent soil with pumice ,charcoal and perlite.
I planted them about an hour ago but I’m not sure if I’m suppose to water them now, or wait up to a week so the roots can settle first?

I water mine right away. Some people may wait a day or two for the roots to settle. But water prop’s roots are used to being very wet and I find that they dry out and die if they stay dry longer than a few days.
What I do is get the soil in my pot wet and use a skewer to make the hole. It’s so much easier. Then I water a bit with some drops from the faucet every few days. Over the course of about 2 weeks I gradually go longer between watering so that the prop can get some soil roots growing. The roots they grow when in water are different so they need to be able to transition from water roots to soil roots.
