Hey all. My girlfriend loves arts and crafts and I wanted to get her something as a superlative to her main gift. When shopping in Michael's, I found a kit where you can make a little fairy planter. I am an avid plant lover and I grow a lot of peppers. I thought this would be a great gift to combine my love of plants with her love of arts and crafts. I bought her a planter and some succulents to go with it… she loves it. If anything in this picture looks terribly wrong or puts the plants at risk of dying please let me know as I am not too familiar with succulents. I also just wanted to see what yall think about this.

My advice would be to not overwater. And look for signs of too much sunlight because some varieties can get sunburned or light burned. Keep them out of drafts. They tend to be sensitive. And maybe put a yellow sticky trap in the dirt just in case there are any fungus gnats. The sticky traps look like flowers or birds so they would fit right in.

it’s beautiful, but it looks like the soil has sphagum moss. it stays too wet and can cause root rot. be very careful in watering them, the moss doesn’t drain, it holds on to the moisture.
succulents need a chunky, breathable medium that allows water to drain quicker, giving roots more air flow than sitting water.
I’d say you’re a keeper!
