On Monday, Jan. 5, the former president of the SWFL Orchid Society is giving a presentation on how to maintain your orchids once they outgrow the container they are in. The informational talk will begin at 10 AM at the Fort Myers Beach Library on the third floor with doors opening at 9:30 AM. This event is part of the Estero Island Garden Club’s regular programs, however, all visitors are welcome to attend. There will be a membership meeting following the presentation.
Next month on Monday, Feb. 2, a presentation on herbs titled “Herbs: Growing tips, health benefits and recipes” will be given. The speaker will address how to raise herbs in a windowsill container or outside in a planter. She will also discuss the health benefits of herbs and provide recipes. This event is scheduled at 10 a.m. at the Fort Myers Beach Library with doors opening at 9:30 a.m.
