I couldn't find anyone who'd sell a gymno to me since cacti aren't that popular here, so the only alternative was to get a moon cactus. I found this one, and, since it looked pretty green to me, and had plenty of pups, I decided to buy it. Do you think it could survive on its own?

Suggest letting the mother plant on the graft and root the pups.

Pry off the offshoots and plant those

also waite for pups to grow bigger, otherwise they might die

Definitely enough chlorophyll to survive on its own. But degrafted plants are always harder to reroot due to degrafting cut being prone to infection.

But with that many pups just leave the mother plant as it is, let the pups grow – that’s important, they are too small to separate at this moment – and when they are bigger, remove them from mother plant and let them take roots.

Thank you all! I’ll give it a season or so, so the pups can grow a bit and I’ll plant those. I will keep the mother plant for now, at least until I can get a few of the pups to survive on their own

Totaly agree! Letting those pups root first will give them a better shot at thriving. 🌱

That sounds like a solid plan! Those pups might thrive if you give them some time on the graft.
