This guy is getting a little tall for the space it’s in. Would folks suggest doing cuttings to bring it down? Or maybe just leave it be and move it to another space. Would appreciate any advice as I’m a novice with these plants.

It’s a euphorbia species which grows huge. I take 4-5 foot cuttings off this one every few years and sell them on Facebook marketplace by the foot. I bought this house on purpose because of the 13 foot ceilings and tall windows. This was just recently pruned off the ceiling again this summer. Yours is gorgeous and healthy. I’d move it before I cut it though. I find placing the pot it’s in into a heavy ceramic pot makes it less likely to fall over from weight.

It’s thriving! Move it somewhere else and get a new plant for that space!

This thing is absolutely beautiful! The fact that it has such consistent leaf growth is a sign of a healthy and happy Euphorbia!

Whatever you are doing keep doing it! If necessary, when it gets too big for the pot, repot in a larger pot and use the same soil and same watering/fertilizer regimen as before because this thing is living its best life.

Edit: Can you find another window for it? A specimen this healthy and photogenic really should not be chopped up. I mean, you could probably even sell it for a premium based on the attractiveness of it. Idk, I vote no to chopping it. And yes to hiring a contractor to cut in a new window to give this thing the space and light it needs!
