Included some smaller greener friends for comparison. I've had this big girl for over 9 years and I care for her in the same ways I care for the others. Plenty of light and water. No signs of rot. I know airplants go through blushing when they're flowering, but could this be a sign of stress for her instead? Older leaves had been staying green but now they're getting old and yellowing in prep for dying off. Newer leaves grow in the dark blushed color.

This air plant means a lot to me, especially since she was one of my first air plants. I've wondered what to do for her for a while now. Any advice would be appreciated.

I think maybe after it has pups, the parent one dies off?

Oh she’s beautiful! She’s blushing red and will continue to grow a d then flower.
From google: Tillandsia brachycaulos is a popular, hardy air plant known for its vibrant color changes, turning from green to pink/red before blooming with purple flowers, and is native to Mexico and Central America
