What do you do when you’ve staked native plants and they go dormant? My goldenrods grew to 7-8 feet and when it snowed they bent over. Should I keep them staked or just let them fall over?
Sorry if this has been asked before).
Pics of them now, in the snow, and in the summer.
Thanks!

Just let ‘em fall over. As an herbaceous perennial, the above ground part of the plants — which you have staked — die back to the ground in winter. The plants will grow new shoots in the spring.
Just as others have said, you just let them fall over. I have goldenrods in my backyard as well (they sure are beautiful). I read somewhere that some pollinators still rely on the dead stalks for a variety of reasons, so it’s best to just let nature do what it do.
