Sorry if this was already answered earlier, but I need help identifying what this stringy root like thingy that’s coming from the bottom of my air plant. I water it once every two weeks by soaking it in water for around 30 minutes. Doesn’t look like a dried leaf. Also do air plants have roots?

This is how some airplanes cling onto trees or vines. It’s like a modified root I guess
