Members of the Wesson Garden Club traveled to Meridian on Dec. 9 for a day of festive activities, beginning with a tour of Merrehope, an antebellum home built in 1858 and decorated with more than 70 Christmas trees. Lunch was enjoyed at Weidmann’s, the state’s oldest restaurant, followed by a visit to The Mississippi Arts + Entertainment Experience, a museum showcasing the significant contributions of Mississippians to American arts and culture. Garden Club attendees, including Sherri Carty, Debbie Hoaglin, Pam Owens, Jennifer Peets, Debbie Smith, and Lisa Smith, thoroughly enjoyed the day. The Wesson Garden Club is an active member of several prestigious organizations, including The Garden Clubs of Mississippi, Inc., The National Garden Clubs, Inc., Deep South Garden Clubs, Inc., and the Natchez Trace District of GCM.
