I have the same cactus blooming right now. In nature a lot of Mammillaria will bloom in spring and fall

Ohh wow, thats really good to know. I was given it by my mom last year and it had flowers. Since then I’ve never had anymore flowers, till now. Do the flowers give seeds to propagate by chance?

It’s a photoperiod thing. When the day length is right, it will flower.
In my experience, spring flowering is much more prolific.
This is true for many common Mamms under most conditions. My M. huitzilopoctlii is flowering right now.
