Congratulations, fellow Tampon. It’s a cruel city for grass. St Aug is always teetering on the brink of fungus death and they’ll only let us water once a week. My advice is overseed with Bermuda or Bahia and just be content with it being mostly green. Past that is only sorrow and expense. I have chased the dragon and seen the suffering wrought on those that went down the lawncare rabbit hole.
Dogrel
That’s St. Augustine. Centipede looks similar, but has only one grass blade coming out of the stem at a time. St. Augustine has paired blades.
