The cotyledons are turning brown and the new vines are very small and not growing much. It's not too hot the heat mat is not plugged in, humidity is high, I don't think they are overwatered. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe ferts?

Fertilizer won’t hurt but I’d try growing these with natural light. I tried for a couple years growing dioscorea under grow lights and had similar results with stunted / yellow-ish leaves. Even with less-than-ideal natural light, they seem to do better than any combination of grow lights I could configure.

Maybe try to put them somewhere cooler. They seem to be more on the winter growing side. And like the other commenter said, it probably does best in natural light. I’ve had mine under a light before but it was basically right on top of it.
