Colorful Orchids Take Over Orangery
See hundreds of colorful orchids from the Gardens’ collection at the York Street location’s Orangery, Marnie’s Pavilion and the Boettcher Center Lobby. The display is on view January 10 – February 16, 2026 and is included with admission to the Gardens. There are two SCFD Free Days during the Showcase that provides free general admission with advance reservations: January 19 and February 12.
Enjoy a mindfulness journey while strolling through the display to help start the new year on a tranquil note with prompts to slow down, take a deep breath and experience nature with all the senses. Quotes about orchids from Confucius, Charles Darwin, Lydia M. Child, Thich Nhat Hanh and others are included on graphics throughout the Orangery.
The Orchid Showcase Photo Contest will not take place in 2026. We plan on resuming the contest in 2027.
