Discovered this lil' guy under the grit whilst re-potting this TBM-B. Will it live? Do I need to graft it?

  1. Leave it alone. Maybe give it less intense light while it acclimated and gains some chlorophyll. It’s not variegated, just lacking pigments it didn’t need to produce while under the surface.

You can try grafting it and seeing if it keeps its albino but not likely.

    It’ll be green again soon

New cactus grower here but long time indoor grower, seeing a lot of albino and heavily variegated plants makes me curious about feeding them Photosynthesis Plus. This is a little part of the description from their website-

    “What it does:
ALL NATURAL- Use in Addition to ALL Nutrient & Fertilizer Programs
Promotes biological functions at both the plants foliar and root substrate levels
Enhances photosynthesis using CO2 to improve plant efficiency
Utilizes the sun’s energy and transports minerals and carbon to the plant at much improved rates
    Promotes plant vigor
Organic Photo Plus may be used indoors/outdoors as a foliar spray or added to solutions for all hydroponic, NFT, drip, aeroponic, irrigation, and continuous liquid feeding systems.”

I’ve just started adding it to my cacti regimen and plan to start using it as a foliar feed too. I’d love to see someone try it on their albino or variegated plants to see if my theory is correct and that it would help them photosynthesize.
