At the beginning of 2025, I set a list of realistic (and some ambitious 😅) garden goals for the season. Now that the year is coming to a close and the garden is officially under snow, it’s time to look back and see what actually happened.

In this video, I’m walking through my 2025 garden goals one by one, sharing what I accomplished, what didn’t quite happen, and the lessons I’m taking into the next growing season. Gardening is always a mix of planning, learning, and adjusting — and this year was no different.

Whether you hit all your goals or had to pivot along the way, I hope this recap encourages you to reflect on your own garden journey and head into the next season with confidence.

🌿 My 2025 Garden Goals Recap
✔️ Setup irrigation
✔️ Replace the trellis arch
✔️ Start seeds for the space I actually have (not the acre I want!)
✔️ Preserve at least 50% of what I grow
✔️ Save seeds
✔️ Winter sow cool flowers & vegetables
✔️ Spend more time relaxing in the garden
✔️ Try new varieties (but not every new variety 😄)
✔️ Only buy seeds to replace what’s already used

  1. I set these garden goals at the beginning of 2025 — some went exactly as planned, and others taught me a few lessons 😅
🌱 Which goal surprised you the most?
🌱 Did you meet your garden goals this year?

  2. Girl im the worst with over seed starting but some years I have had all of one type of seed fail me after sprouting and then I spend time purchasing from big box store because its later than I want to re start. When I have extra seedlings I have a community where I give away what I dont need to family and friends. So please share the extras you do good. Im trying to get my garden set up. Last 3 year I used grow bags. This year I hope to set up something more permanent

  3. You are not alone. I am guilty of starting too many seeds also. Your garden was not a failure. You did great! I couldn't even get a zucchini!!!

  4. I am so glad YouTube recommended this video! You are my new favorite channel! We have very different zones (I’m 8b!!!! A world away!) but I LOVE seeing your snow covered garden, it is so beautiful even now 😊 and wow, how amazing your garden is in such a short season, gives me no excuse with my very very long season!!!
    I too have a seed problem….
Going to watch a bunch more videos now, thanks!!

  5. I’m a seed a holic 😂. This video is very informative because I grew stuff I didn’t need in my first year gardening. I have a better plan for next season. I’ve already had to put myself on a garden budget 😂.
